If you are one of my scrappy friends and have ever wondered what happens to the cards that you put your time and effort into making, wonder no longer! I’m going to show you!
As a crafter, I would NEVER throw away another crafter’s masterpiece so I needed to come up with a solution for being able to enjoy the gifts that my friends sent me. I was storing them on a collage type thingie that hung from the ceiling with clips on it and then I got too many cards for that so I added a metal rail thingie from Ikea and I out grew that and then I ran across this at the local Goodwill!
You don’t need to buy this, you can make this yourself! All it is is a strip of velcro! See? Look up close in these two pictures. I used hot glue and glued it to the brick on my fireplace in my scrapbooking room.
You take the other side of the velcro, cut it in strips and put adhesive on one side and stick it to the back of your project/card and stick it to the velcro like this.
and when you are finished, VOILA! You can see all of your beautiful projects or cards wherever you choose to put them! And I can take them down, move them around, replace them, whenever I want!
Now I need to get more velcro and move the rest of my cards from the Ikea rail and the collage thingie into this room! That should give me a good four rows of cards up there! I LOVE each and every card you guys send me. I was reading through these when I hung them up and saw several that were sent during some tough times like when I lost my sweet Ginger and when the mean girls were being mean online talking smack about me, and it just reminded me that I have the best scrappy friends ever! Thanks guys!
How do you display your cards that your friends send you?
