Altenew recently released their first line of ink pads recently and I thought I’d share them with you along with a demonstration and review. (These were not provided for me, I purchased them myself and this is a completely un-biased review)
These are water based dye inks which means they dry fast and stamp extremely crisp and solid images. If you know me, you know that I’m a bit of an “ink snob” (lol) but I am extremely impressed with how these inks stamp! There are 11 colors in their first release and the colors layer well together with Altenew’s multi-layer stamps.
I have a short video demonstration and review below that you can watch but I also have some photos to share with you. These are the colors that came out in the first release and notice how crisp and cleanly they stamped! I stamped these swatches on cheap Georgia Pacific cardstock from Walmart.
For a demonstration in my video, I also stamped two of the colors on better cardstock, this time using Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. This is how they turned out: (The first image is a polymer stamp, the second is a rubber stamp). Colors used: Ruby Red & Coral Berry.
Here is my video demo and review. To watch in HD, click here.
You can purchase these inks at Altenew.com or Ellen Hutson.com. If you have any questions please let me know.
