4. Stamp Storage (OLD)

My New Stamp Storage can be found here.

Today we will go over how I store my stamps.  I store them in three different ways.

1.  The majority of my stamps are stored on inserts (storage panels) inside of cd cases like this:

Stamp Storage Inserts

The inserts/storage panels are made by Crafter’s Companion and look like this:

Stamp Storage Panels

I cut two pieces of cardstock to fit inside the front and back of the cd cases and I adhere the acetate sheet that comes with the stamps to the inside of the front and back of the cd case so that I can clearly see what stamps are in each cd case.  If I don’t have the original packaging, I simply stamp the stamps out on that paper.

2.  When I have large stamp sets or long borders, etc., that won’t fit in a cd case, I store them in these stamp storage cases from Stampin’ Up.

I adhere the stamps to the inside of the case like this:

Then I cut a piece of paper large enough to fit inside the cover of the case and do the same thing I do for cd cases so that I can see what stamps are in each case.

3.  99% of my rubber stamps are unmounted and I store the majority of them in these stamp storage binders from Crafter’s Companion.

Rubber Stamp Storage Binder

Inside of each binder I put a page protector and a stamp storage panel.  It looks like this:

As you can see in the photo above, I stamp out all of the images on a sheet of cardstock and insert it into the page protector.  On the opposite page, I place those stamps on the stamp storage panel.  Each binder comfortably holds three pages of stamp storage panels filled with stamps on both sides.

I also created a short video showing my stamp storage solutions which you can watch below:

Hi. I’m working on my stamp organization. I was looking for a link to your on-line data storage for your stamps, but couldn’t find it.

Kathleen – I found your blog post about using Evernote for stamp inventory. I should have looked more thoroughly before asking for the link. Thank you.

In your video you indirectly mentioned that the the cd cases can destroy your stamps? I didn’t know this-what happens?
