Hi crafty friends! As you know I posted a video tutorial showing how to make glimmer mists using alcohol and metallic paints a couple of weeks ago. Well I was having trouble with the spray bottles and I thought the bottle was the culprit of my issues but it turns out, it was the alcohol! So….I’ve created a NEW video tutorial showing you how to make them properly with water and paint! These turned out lovely and are SO easy to make. Check it out!

Thank you for the informative video about how to make glimmer mist. I want to try this soon, since I love the look but don’t have the pocketbook! Since we don’t have the store you mentioned, I will have to find a source for the spray bottles, though.
Thank you!!! I just went out to the Joann’s in Silverdale the other day to spend my birthday giftcard hubby got me, and I bought some of the metallic paint and tried it all last night…FABULOUS!!! I also got a cheaper brand of paint to try too, but it didn’t work as good as the Folk Art, so I’ll definitely stick with that kind! Thank you so much for the info!!!
Thanks for the feedback, so glad you were able to make your mists! I’ve never noticed a difference between brands. By chance, do you remember the brand you bought that wasn’t as good (so I can avoid it)?
I am so glad I came across this. I have watched many videos and they put glue in theirs..what is the purpose of that?
