My Thicker Storage (and slight addiction)

January 31, 2012 by Kat 9 Comments

Okay I have admitted it on video on my youtube channel so I’ll come clean with you, my blog readers as well.  I am a thicker addict…it’s a problem…really.  I don’t know what it is about thickers but I’ve never met one that I didn’t want to rescue from the store to take home to live with my other thickers!  Seriously though, I can’t get enough of them!  And yet it seems like I never have the right ones when I’m working on a project!

I’ve had some of my youtube viewers and blog readers ask how I organize and store my thickers so I thought I’d address that today.  I organize them by color and I store them in the bins in my storage unit that I got at Costco.

Here are some pictures.  I have two bins full of thickers, not including all of my Amy Tangerine thickers which are stored in a plastic iris box.

And here is a side view of the bins that hold my thickers.

I am not sure how many packages of thickers I actually own and I’m afraid to count them but suffice it to say it’s pretty thick (pun intended!)

Anyway, that’s my thicker collection (most of it) and how I organize and store them.  Now that I showed you mine, show me your thicker collection and how you store them!

Love your storage area, if you ever need to thin out your thicker collection, just ask for my address, I’ll be glad to help you out. LOL

I love card making and scrapbooking and I’m a collector too, but I have to admit, you have me beat with that collection!!!!

My goodness! Good for you! What a fun obsession to have 🙂 I only have a few packs, so I don’t really think much about how to store them.

I am such a Thickers addict, too, Kat!
At last count I had around 115 packs :-O
I store mine in a legal size file cabinet drawer in files by color.
I counted them once for a thread at 2p’s and did slow down buying after I realized how many packs I had.

That is a lot of Thickers, but the way you have them organized is great.

Well, you’ve succeeded in helping me feel better about my collection. Except then there’s the REST of my alphas! This hobby is addicting!

I saw your post on Two Peas and had to come read because I have a slight addiction as well! I keep mine in a Clip-It-Up but I love this system. I may have to rethink how I store my ever-growing collection. Thanks for sharing!
