I have to admit that I do not do Project Life the way it is intended but I love the 3×4 and 4×6 cards (mostly the 3×4’s) to use in my cards and scrapbook pages so I’ve collected quite a few along the way. I don’t have a huge collection, however and I was looking for a way to store them so that I could reach them easily and see them at all times. I found the perfect solution in the “Memory Keeping Organizer” by Gina’s Designs.
I do not receive any type of compensation for writing about this product, I’m just sharing it because it works so well for me. It is a very thick chipboard die cut package which you put together yourself with a little glue. Mine didn’t come with directions so it was a little annoying to put together but if you write and ask (I was too impatient because it was late at night when I put mine together) for directions, Gina will send them to you.
This is what it looked like put together before I decorated it: (I haven’t put the little dividers in there yet because I want to paint them).
And here is what mine looks like decorated but empty:
And this is what it looks like full (without the dividers)
As you can see the box holds so much that I was able to put my rather large enamel dot collection into it along with a few other miscellaneous embellishments.
This Memory Keeping Organizer costs $10.00 and you can order extra sets of dividers (not shown) for $1.50. The price is perfect and really it wasn’t hard to put together (if you have directions), I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue to put mine together. (Thank you for the help Elisha!)
I hope this product helps you with your project life card storage and organization. I’ll update this with a new photo once I have decorated and added the dividers. Here is a link to Gina’s website where you can purchase this item.
I don’t PL either but I do love the cards that Close to My Heart came out with Picture My Life. I am having a hard time storing them too. I really like what you did with yours but I don’t have my own space. I am a travel scrapbooker. My stuff is very orgizined. I do want to bring these cards with me to crops. I thinking do I store them with the matching CTMH paper or have them in their own tote. But will I ever pull them out??? I am a scrapbooker, they will end up on 12×12 LO. Any suggestions?
Hi Melissa, I think it depends on how many you have. I know that ctmh has a container that they use specifically for storing pl cards, you may want to check with your ctmh rep
If you can’t find anything let me know how many cards you have and I’ll try to come up with some ideas for you
I have about as much as you put in your handmad storage I have a few of CTMH storage boxes although great, but the problen I find with them is the tops don’t come off and at a crop space is king. Thanks for any suggesting you may come up with.
Hello, will this storage organizer fit inside the Ikea Raskog cart?
Hi Michele, I just measured it and it looks like it’s too deep to fit into the raskog. Sorry.
