Hi everyone, this year has flown by (sort of) and I didn’t meet any of my blogging goals, however, I’m not giving up! I will continue to strive to bring life back to the blog this coming year so stick with me for new and updated content!
I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and to share a rare request with you. This is me and my Granddad “McDreamy” when I visited this summer.
He is is 97 3/4 years old and just lost his 2nd wife. He lives across the country from me (I’m near Seattle, he is in Myrtle Beach. This year has been really rough because not only did he lose his wife, but he lost his daughter (my mom) as well. My cousins who live near him don’t pay much attention to him and he is alone day in and day out with nobody to visit with or talk to except me when I call him about 3x a week.
Anyway, he will be all alone for Thanksgiving and I plan on sending him a thanksgiving dinner via doordash or something similar. But he LOVES handmade cards and that’s the reason for this post. I want to know if I can get my friends and fellow crafters to send him a Christmas card this year. He has kind of lost that zest for life ya know?. He spends so much time alone with nobody to talk to, his life is very lonely.
Anyway, I’m flying out to spend 10 days with him for Christmas and I was hoping that I could bring him cards from all of you as a surprise. If you have an extra Christmas card or have time to make one for him I’d surely appreciate it! You can send them to him here:

Thank you in advance to those of you who will take the time to make this wonderful man’s day 🙂 I can tell you in all honesty that he really truly loves getting handmade cards. He complains that I don’t send him enough LOL
Thank you and may you all have a happy, healthy and SAFE Thanksgiving!!!

Hi there, are you still going to be able to go see your Dad? I was going to put a card in the mail for him tomorrow but wondered with the shutdowns across the nation whether you were still going.
Kat says
Yes I’m still going 🙂
