Getting Ready for the Holidays…

November 11, 2022 by Kat 12 Comments

Hi everyone!  Its cold and rainy here in the PNW and I can’t wait for our first snowfall!.  I am cuddling with my sweet girl, Ava, and a cup of hot chocolate today.  (In my new favorite mug from Hobby Lobby!)  I’ve been pulling out Christmas decorations for a couple of days now and trying to put them up. I have my tree up but no ornaments yet.

I will share pictures of my Christmas decorations as soon as I’m finished but I thought I’d stop by and share my favorite hot cocoa with you!  I found this cocoa about a week ago and am addicted.  I don’t care for dark chocolate so I’ve been searching for a milk chocolate flavor that was better than the kind you get in packets (Swiss Miss, etc.) and I came across this new favorite of mine! (My Amazon Affiliate Link)

I started on my Christmas cards but I hate the first two that I did and am going to have to re-do them.  How early do you start your Christmas cards?  I am waiting for the Christmas release at Kat Scrappiness next weekend so I can show you my new Christmas stamps, dies and embellishments!

Comment on this post and let me know when you start making your Christmas cards and I will send a prize to someone who comments!  (US only please because of postage).

Hope you are healthy, happy and joyful today!  I can’t wait to read your comments!

Kat

So very anxious to see the newest release. Believe it or not I do not send out Christmas cards. I used to send out birthday cards to everyone in my family but I never got a reply from them that they got it or like so I can send anymore I make like crazy give them away and sell them but don’t mail any. But as an influencer for a couple different companies I do start making and displaying Christmas cards as soon as the companies launch their new releases. I received products and post the cards on my blog and other social media sites. I can begin making Christmas cards as soon as April depending on what products are available.

    Kat,
It’s funny you asked about Christmas cards. I actually started
mine this week. As usual, I have way too many little pieces🤦‍♀️
I thought I would be smart to die cut everything first, then put
in separate containers for easier assembly. All I can say is it’s
a good thing I started early!

My first year making my own Christmas cards was last year. I haven’t started yet this year, I’m waiting to get in the Christmas mood. Speaking of hot chocolate, I found some hot chocolate sprinkles at Walmart. They are peppermint flavored. Haven’t tried them yet, but it’s about to be cold enough here to try them!

Are we suppose to have started those?! I’m a wait to the very last minute lately. I do have a couple that I’ve made with the new Kat Scrappiness goodies coming next week! 😉❤️

I usually work on my Christmas cards in November, but this year I actually created them the end of September. They will be mailed soon after Thanksgiving. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.

I started my Xmas cards about a month ago and finished them last night. Now I just have to address them.

My Christmas cards are done. I had several kits and added my own spin to them. Now if I only remember to mail them!!!

    Cocoa looks yummy.
