Okay so you know how I made my own ink pad storage holder out of cardboard and chipboard? Well I ditched it already because I found this great cut file in the Silhouette store and I made this with it:
This picture shows three of the ink pad holders glued together. You can make as many as you’d like and glue them together. I’m going to add another column as I get more ink pads. I used the Silhouette “chipboard” and then cut patterned paper to match my scrap room and covered the outside of the ink pad holder with the pretty paper 🙂
One of the features that I love about this ink pad holder is that the individual “drawers” pull out! Here is the cut file picture from the Silhouette store and you can see how the drawers pull out.
There are also cut files for ink pad holders for specific types of ink pads. Here is the one for distress inks:
You can download the distress ink pad holder cut file here.
And last, there is an ink pad holder cut file for Close to My Heart and Stampin’ Up Ink Pads.
You can download this file at this link.
I’m not sure how sturdy they are when cut out of paper but like I said I used the Silhouette brand “chipboard” which to me is no thicker than a good cardstock so if you use papertreyink or bazzill cardstock you should be good to go!
If you have one of these, I’d love to see it! Link to your creation in the comments section!

Thank you SO much for this! Ive been looking EVERYWHERE for stamp pad storage ideas and short of making one out of wood or going back in time to IKEA to buy a DVD rack, i was getting annoyed with the lack of feasible options!! Seeing how I just got a Silhouette, this seems like a perfect project to try!

this is exactly what I am looking for as I don’t have a lot of inks YET so I can add on when needed!.. but I don’t have a Silhouette..
