I have a portable sewing machine that I use for scrapbooking and card making (I don’t sew material often, just paper!) and I store it on the floor under my desk. I don’t use it often so I needed a way to keep it dust free, not to mention the fat that I also have a 140+lb St. Bernard with very long hair and if I don’t’ sweep twice a day, there is bound to be dog hair gathered around my sewing machine.
My solution? A hand made sewing machine cover! No I didn’t make it myself, (it takes too much skill LOL). Jane Summers Cox made it for me and she even let me choose the fabric to match my scrap room. It has an adjustable elastic band around the bottom so I can make it as loose or as tight as I want. Here is what my new cover looks like:
Jane makes covers for all of your craft room and household items so if you are looking for any type of cover here are some more examples of her work: (There are even more on her etsy page)
