I have to give credit to a lady on one of my facebook groups for this idea, it was not my own. (I don’t remember who she is, but I saw the idea and copied it!). (This storage solution can be used for any small items, not just wood veneers)
You start out with an empty Iris Container like this:
Next, you purchase three packs of these small containers which can be found at the dollar store in some areas, ebay (or I’m told you can even order from dollar tree online). One Iris container will hold three packs or (30 containers).
Then you fill the little containers up with your wood veneers and place them inside the Iris container. If you are like me and want to see what’s inside each one, you can do what I did and that is to take one of each wood veneer and, using a glue dot, adhere it to the lid of the container like this:
The pink sticky notes that you see on the three bottom, left containers indicate what is inside of the container. In my case, all three contain speech bubbles or word veneers so I wrote down what all the sayings on the sticky notes and stuck it to the top so I don’t have to try to remember what I have, I can just look without having to dig through each container.
This is what my wood veneer storage solution looks like completed. You can pick up the container and because the small containers inside fit perfectly, you can flip it on it’s side, or upside down and the containers stay put!
I also filmed a short video showing my wood veneer storage solution on camera so I’ll post it below. (It also shows my flair button storage as well).
If you have any questions or want to share your own storage solutions, please leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you!
