A Very Blessed Easter Indeed (except for the food poisoining LOL)

April 21, 2014 by Kat Leave a Comment

I hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday!  Mine was great because my sister in law drove down from Idaho and brought my two nieces and my little nephew so we all went to my mom and step-dad’s house to color eggs, watch them empty their baskets and have dinner.  It was loads of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them.  I miss them so much and only get to see them a couple of times a year at best.

Here’s a picture of my mom and step-dad with their “bunny ears” on!

We picked up mom’s wheelchair (with her in it LOL) and took her outside to watch the kids hunt for the Easter eggs I hid.  She really enjoyed it!  Rex worked hard on cooking a great dinner, only the turkey turned out to be under cooked and a few of us got a slight case of food poisoning (not me thank you GOD!)

I have a busy day today but I wanted to share a few more projects I’ve made recently.  Hope you like them!

For this first card, I used my sizzix dies (jelly beans and egs) along with the new “Let’s Polka” paper pad from Lawn Fawn and the “My Cute Stamps” stamp set called “Sweeter than Jelly Beans”.  (no longer sold)

Easter Card

This next card includes a photo of the inside of the card because I think it turned out cute.

I used an older paper pad from Jillibean Soup called Chicken Dumpling, along with a felt cloud I cut with my sizzix die, a Girls Paperie banner flag and a stamp from PTI (I do not recommend Paper Trey Ink because their customer service is HORRIBLE, but I had this stamp so I used it anyway).  On the inside of the card, I just used a border punch, a lawn fawn stamp and a project life grid card and made a little pocket.  This was my favorite Easter card that I made this year.  I sent it to my Grandparents 🙂

Please ignore the glue strings on this next one, I didn’t notice them until after I had photographed and mailed it out LOL  I used an older Doodlebug paper pad for this one (can’t remember the name, sorry), my sizzix “bird” die, a wood veneer sun from Diana McRae, and an oval die to make the egg.

Easter card

This next card is very similar. I just love the little bird LOL  The only thing different is that I used the Lawn Fawn “Speech Bubble Border” die.

This last card has nothing to do with Easter but Justin graduated from Outpatient finally (woot!) and he wanted a than you card to give his drug counselor so I made him this one with the help of my dear friend Elisha!  It’s an easel card with a seahawks football player on the front of it.  It was my first easel card!  (His counselor is a huge Seahawks fan).  (The image is a Greeting Farm Stamp that Elisha let me borrow).

Seahawks Easel Card

That’s all I have to share for now but I have a cute kitty layout and process video to share with you tomorrow so be sure to check back or subscribe to see that.  Have a wonderful, crafty week everyone!
