My Favorite Scrapbooking Products – Adhesives

Adhesives:

American Crafts This to That Dot Glue RunnerThe American Crafts This to That Dot Glue Runner is my “go-to” adhesive for smaller projects and cards.  It is permanent, however it will be somewhat removable for long enough that if you place something down and decide later it needs to be moved (such as when gluing down a card front crooked!), you can pull it back up without tearing the paper.

Yellow ATG

For larger projects I always use my Scotch ATG 700 (Yellow ATG) which uses 1/2″ tape.  It is permanent and doesn’t allow you to move things around so you’d better be sure you want it to “stick” where you put it!  It rolls on smoothly and I prefer it much more than I did the Pink 1/4″ ATG that I used to have.

One of my new favorite adhesives is Tombow Xtreme Adhesive.  This adhesive is SUPER STRONG so if you adhere something to your paper, you’d better be sure that’s where you want it!

There are several liquid glues that I use on a regular basis but I will share the three I use the most .

Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue

Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue is a favorite because it has a dual tip and does not clog.  It goes on white but dries clear and is a very good adhesive.  One of the reasons I like this glue is because if you use it and let it dry before you attach it to your project, it creates a “post it” type adhesive, it is removable.  However, if you stick it to your project right away, it is permanent.  Neat huh?

Ranger Multi Medium MatteRanger’s Multi Medium Matte is a brand new favorite of mine that I began using a few months ago.  It is an acrylic gel medium that  dries clear and is waterproof.  It can be used in mixed media  so it will be listed in that section of my favorite products as well).  I will go over its’ uses in mixed media in that section but I also use it as a regular adhesive/liquid glue so I wanted to list it in this section as well.  (I always use this adhesive for gluing down sequin!)

Judikins Diamond GlazeJudikins Diamond Glaze is another favorite of mine. It is a dimensional adhesive that dries like glass.   I use it just like some people use glossy accents.  I like the Diamond Glaze better because it doesn’t clog and my glossy accents ALWAYS clogged. This adhesive can do so much, take a look at the description in this link to see what all this can do!  It’s an amazing product and I highly recommend it.

I no longer use foam dots, I only use this foam tape roll by Scotch.  Sure, it looks big and bulky but the savings are astronomical and I really like being able to cut the tape to any size I need!  I’ll never go back to those annoying dots again!

For teeny tiny things that need to be adhered, I use either of the following:

Zig 2-Way Squeeze and Roll Glue Pen – This is perfect for any tiny thing that needs to be glued down.  It is both removable and permanent, much like the Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue I listed for you at the top of this post.  The glue goes on blue but dries clear.  It has a pen like tip so it is very precise.

Lastly, I use my little Xyron Mini Sticker Maker (mine is pink) to adhere little things such as letters and die cuts, etc.

These are my favorite and most used adhesives.  I hope that you will find something useful to you in your crafting and scrapbooking!
