My Printers – Everyday Printing & Photo Printing

I’ve been asked recently what I use to print my photos as well as what I use for everyday printing so I thought I’d share that information here on my blog so my readers and YouTube viewers can refer to it.

This is the printer I use for everyday printing as well as photo printing AND printables that I get free online:

Canon Pixma MG6220 Wireless Ink Jet Photo All-In-One Printer.

There are newer models of this printer out there but this is the one I have and have been using for several years now. I absolutely love it.

Let me first say I’m a single mom and I am on a budget.  I cannot afford to buy expensive ink cartridges so I took that into account shortly after I bought my printer.  I bought the Original Ink Cartridges at first but then I thought I’d give the 12 Pack Compatible Ink Refills a try to save some money, and I never went back!  They work just as well and are a fraction of the price of the Original Ink Cartridges.

I print all of my photos (except for 4×6 taken with my phone) with this printer, along with all of my day to day printing and copying, etc.

You can read more about this printer here, but suffice it to say, I’ve had mine for a few years and it’s the best printer I’ve ever had.

For my 4×6 photos taken with my cell phone, I use my Canon Selphy CP900 Wireless Color Photo Printer

There is a newer model out now for this printer as well, the Canon SELPHY CP910 but I’m not sure what the difference is.  I only use this for printing photos from my phone because it doesn’t work wirelessly with Windows 8 and that’s what I have on my laptop.  So if you have Windows 8, be forewarned that it won’t work for you.

Other than not being compatible with my laptop, I love this printer.  Any photos taken on my cell phone are printed on this little printer and they look fabulous.  The Ink & Paper is not cheap though and I sometimes find myself out of both until the next payday!  It is around $29.73 for a package that will print 108 photos if used correctly.  (I never get a full 108 prints out of mine though).
