Hi everyone. As you may know, I recently moved into a new home and have been trying to redecorate because I was tired of my old decor. Because I’m on a very limited budget, my friend Elisha helped me come up with this great wall hanging for very little money and I’m going to share how we made it together!
We were shopping at goodwill one day and ran across this metal pocket wall hanging and I picked it up for less than $10 I believe. I wanted to add flowers to it to match my curtains (which I sewed myself!) (as shown in the photo below):
We purchased some flowers and flower foam blocks from the dollar store ( as they are too expensive at the craft store). I bought them all in white so that I could color them myself with my spray inks/mists. Then I pulled out a bunch of mists in gold, yellow, teals, blues, etc. We pulled the flowers off of the stems and separated them into piles by what color we wanted them to be. We sprayed the flowers, let them sit for a few hours, put the buds back onto the stems and Elisha arranged them for me. It was inexpensive, only took one afternoon and tons of fun to make! I love how it turned out!
A great big thank you to my dear friend Elisha for all her help!
