I’ve been in love with the 3d felt embellishments that Pebbles makes but I refuse to pay as much as they cost so I decided to try to make my own and if I do say so myself, they came out really cute!
This is a picture of the embellishments that Pebbles sells.
And here is a picture of some of the little felt flower embellishments I made in minutes.
To make this felt flower (or any shape) you will need the following:
- A Cuttlebug or other die cutting system
- Shaped dies in different sizes (I am using the cuttlebug flowers)
- Felt in a few different colors – I got the felt on sale for .25 a sheet at Joann’s.
- Needle and embroidery thread
You simply cut a piece of felt to fit your die, run it through your cuttlebug and do that with all three dies. Then stack them and put a button on top and sew it on. Voila! You have a cute embellishment for your cards and scrapbook pages. 🙂
If you have any questions, let me know.

I can’t believe I just sold those dies at my rummage sale! But the good news is I sold them to a friend so I can borrow them to make some flowers!

Very cute! Funny how some of the most cutest, expensive things can be easily made and for way less the cost! 🙂 Great job! Now I just need some of these dies for my Cuttlebug! 🙂
