Have you ever bought a paper collection that didn’t have a lot of embellishments or just didn’t want to spend the extra money to buy the pre-made embellishments? There was a discussion going on a scrapbooking message forum I visit about making handmade embellishments so I got out my punches, dies and sewing machine and started making my own. This is what I came up with:
(Please ignore the cookie crumb in the middle of the photo LOL)
They aren’t anything to write home about but I thought some of them turned out pretty cute for my first try. I’m going to keep practicing and I’ll share my progress with you guys. I have decided that for the collection I have that don’t have embellishments (I’m talking about you Echo Park!) (LOL), I’m just going to use the 6×6 paper pad to make my own from now on. I just have to come up with some new ideas. Or maybe…just maybe I need to buy more dies and punches. (haha)
On a side note…I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to leave a comment or send me a private message offering me words of comfort about the passing of my best friend, Elisha. I’ll post an update on that later, it’s just too raw for me to talk about right now. But I want each of you to know how grateful I am and how much your messages meant to me. Thank you 🙂
