I’m still here!

July 21, 2012 by Kat Leave a Comment

I know I haven’t posted since losing Ginger but I wanted to let everyone know that I’m still here but have been keeping really busy.  Abby went through a tough time after Ginger passed, she started chewing at herself and we had to “cone” her which didn’t work out very well but we brought my step-dad’s dog over for a few days and that cheered her up and I’ve been spoiling her and giving her lots of attention and took her to the vet where she got some meds and now she’s doing much better.

I’ve been working on my new shopping cart, filling it full of scrappy goodness, take a look!

AND as you can see above, I got a great new logo done from my new friend Tammy!  She is awesome!  If you need a logo or graphic design let me know because I can highly recommend her!

Anyway, with the boys and the dog and work and my design team, I have just been so busy that I can’t see straight.  Justin is going to intensive outpatient three days a week, 2 1/2 hours a day, AA meetings twice a week and GED classes 2x a week so I do a lot of driving him around as well.  Who said summer was a vacation? It sure isn’t for moms! lol

But all in all, things are good around here.  I haven’t had time to do any scrapbooking lately but I did do a dog swap with a new friend I made in a facebook group online and it was fun.  She has four dogs and I got a goodie box together with bandanas, dog toys and treats and a card from Abby (that said Woof, Woof LOL) and sent it to her and she sent me a box of goodies as well.  It was fun and she even videotaped opening the box with her dogs all standing around excited about the goodies in the box!  It was adorable!

I did get involved in an online fb group and was reminded very quickly about how competitive, dishonest and mean people can be when it comes to business and money.  Sometimes not even that, sometimes it’s just people being competitive…  I have also learned that it’s okay if not everybody likes you (LOL) and that the world isn’t going to end if a few ignorant people who don’t know you in real life form inaccurate opinions of you!  This is something I’ve not had to deal with in a LOOOONG time and I had forgotten what it was like to be “out there” so to speak.   I had a situation come up where a small group of about three women were spreading untruths about me and a couple of my friends and I just decided it was best to let go and let God because after all, there is nothing I can do about it and He sees all anyway right?   Lesson learned, moved on to next chapter 🙂  If anyone else faces this challenge, don’t let people get you down, keep your head up high and as long as you know you are honest and doing things with a pure heart, you will be fine in the end!  I truly believe that.

As for the family, my mom is holding up well, taking some meds for the Parkinsons but hasn’t noticed any changes yet.  Tyler is being 15 (God Help Us All! lol), Justin, as I mentioned is clean and working hard at it, Rex is Rex (lol) and my brother and sis-in-law are getting ready to have my new nephew in the next couple of weeks and then they are coming to stay with us for about a week and I can’t wait!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your summer “break”.  I hope to get back to blogging regularly soon.  I am really missing youtube and blogging and my chatting online but work has been crazy busy!  (which is a blessing right?).

Take care everyone!
