*Update 5/15* I recently sold ALL of my brads and eyelets because I never used them But this is how I used to store them and it worked great for me.
I have to admit that I have OCD in real life (not a joke) and one of my “things” is organization. When it comes to my scrapbooking supplies, everything is sorted in a very precise way. Especially when it comes to small embellishments like brads, eyelets and tiny buttons. I store them by design, then color, then size and I keep them in these “Craft Mates Lockables Large Organizer Cases” They measure 9″X9.5″X2.5″ and the material is purple ultrasuede. They retail for $27.99 each in your craft stores (use a coupon for 40-50% off) or you can get them online for approximately $19.00 each. (Craft Mates Lockables Ultrasuede Large Organizer Case, Purple)
Each side holds four plastic containers which has seven compartments. The individual rows slide out and each compartment opens individually which a safety lock mechanism. (Great for not spilling things!). It’s very handy. Here are a few close up photos:
As you can see, I label them according to the color they hold so when I need something green, for instance, I simply pull the case labeled “Green”. It’s very handy and it’s easy to see what you have. No digging through jars or containers for just the right brad!
As you can see, these cases take up very little room for the amount of product they hold. I absolutely love them in my scrap room. At around $19.00 each, they hold a LOT of product safely and securely.
I hope this post helps you in your small embellishment organization. I highly recommend this product and use it in my own craft room.
