I bought four of these Sterilite Wide 3 Drawer Units from Walmart.
Then, using my Silhouette Cameo , I created cut files for a label and the colors, cut them out and glued them to the inside, front of the drawers using Glue Dots.
I store my Sterilite Wide 3 Drawer Units on shelves from Ikea, above my desk.
As you can see, I have one drawer for each color and then one drawer for patterned paper. Because I store my paper mostly by collection, I keep most of my scraps with their collections until I’m through with it so I don’t have a lot of patterned paper scraps. When it does get full though, I give it to my art journaling friends or my nieces to play with. Nothing goes to waste.
I’ve stored my scraps like this for 5+ years now and it works well for me, if I had limited shelf space I may not be able to do it this way but luckily I’ve got the room. 🙂 I truly believe I use my scraps more because they are above my head at my desk so I know to look there first when I need paper, before cutting into a new sheet.
