So for months I’ve been debating how to reorganize my ribbon. Previously I had some wrapped around Cropper Hopper cards and placed in boxes, some on spools in ribbon containers made by Craftmate and some still on spools in boxes here, there and everywhere. I finally decided to purchase the Spool N Store as shown below:
Two things I learned after purchasing this kit…
1. Ribbons bigger than 3/4″ won’t fit
2. Very small ribbons are a pain in the neck to put in these containers.
So I ended up leaving my tiny ribbons on the cards as you will see in the following picture. Truth be told, I just didn’t want to unwrap and spool up all that ribbon! lol All of my “regular” size ribbons are now spooled and in the new containers. The ribbons that are too big are spooled and sitting in a drawer. It’s not perfect but it sure did clear up a LOT of space in my craft room and all of my ribbon is in one place!
If you are wondering how many spools of ribbon fit into the containers. Here is how it worked out for me. I bought this pack for $47.99 and it held 138 spools of ribbon for me. It’s not the most cost effective way to store ribbon but it is the best as far as space goes.
If you want to order this spool n store kit, let me know, I can order it for you. For the starter kit the cost is 17.99 and the kit includes: 1 Spooler, 5 Dispensers, 1 Storage Tray and 6 Divider Discs. Maximum 3/4 inch ribbon width will fit the dispenser. K-5
