Hi everyone! I have a sweet Easter card to share with you today. I started out by blending distress inks on Bristol Smooth Paper to make my background. I use these Mini SmoothieFoam Blending Tools to blend my inks. They work much better for me than the other blending tools available. They are a little pricey but I use one per color family and it’s totally worth it to be able to blend without those marks that the other blending tools leave on my paper.
I stamped the chicks using a retired stamp set called Chirpy Chicks from Clearly Besotted and cut them out with the matching dies. The bunny is from a Gerda Steiner stamp and die set called Hoppiness. I colored them in with my copic markers. I cut the front panel using my Kat Scrappiness Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies. That’s my favorite die at the moment, I just love the design. The sentiment is also a retired product, it’s from the Eggstra Special Sentiments stamp set by Amy R (CC Designs). (I try to use current products when creating cards and projects but some of my favorites are no longer available and I can’t bear to part with them.) I hope you guys understand 🙂
The little filmstrip die that the characters are peeking out from is from PPP – It’s called Stitched Film Strip Die. it’s so fun to put little stamped images in those squares and have them peeking out!
I finished my card off using some Tinkerbell Sequins from Kat Scrappiness. I hope you like my card and that it inspires you in some way when making your own Easter cards.
The products that I used to create this project are listed and linked below. (With the exception of discontinued items) If you have any questions about what I used to make this card, please feel free to leave a comment.
