Advice needed:
Do you know anyway to make visual signs/storyboards/checklists that can be hung all over the house, to remind Ty how to do things like all the steps involved in brushing his teeth? (That one is easy actually).
But the more difficult ones are how to fit pictures of all the steps necessary to clean up after himself, shower, use the bathroom, dress, do chores, put things away when he is done (like frozen food that I find hours later defrosted on the counter!!!), how not to throw garbage on the floor wherever he is rather than to go find a garbage can, etc.?
Some of the things I need signs for are more sensitive like involving toileting (is that a word?), showering, getting dressed, etc. but I don’t want him to feel embarrassed so I need to find a cool way to do the storyboard pictures so he can figure it out without feeling bad. His sweet, loving, kind, sensitive (not) brother likes to make fun of him and call him retarded for every little thing so I’m fighting a double battle here.
Anyway, if you have any advice about that, please let me know! I’d SURELY appreciate it!
Thanks!!!

Have you gotten a sound answer for your challenge? If not, I have lots and lots of ideas…. Social stories (intelligent), reminder book, reminder objects, visuals (seem to be the key for us), setting up situations where a peer/sibling can do what you would like to target the correct way and compliment that particular action (your son will remember to do this the next time for that compliment from you)… I have more – if you need them – it is 2014 now and I have just found your blog… 🙂
