This is a cool idea. How handy to have the inventory on your phone to help from buying duplicates when your shopping.
Great idea, I don’t have enough stamps to do something like this but it would be great to have them all organized like this
I have been trying to figure out how to do this for over a year… How did you get your stamp sets onto your computer? did you scan them or take individual photos? that has been what’s holding me back! that and trying to figure out this whole ‘tagging’ thing LOL

Hi Linda, this is what I found through a google search “For a full screen capture, use the Command, Shift and 3 keys. For a selectable screen capture, use Command, Shift and 4 keys.”
The snipping tool, why didn’t I think of that?!? I’ve used that at school all the time! This is an awesome idea, thanks for the detailed sharing.

Searching for my stamps is way too time consuming especially since I separated them by category. I have my stamps in Unikeep 5×7 case binders. I have a paper copy in my ever growing 4″ binder that is now way to cumbersome to take shopping. I think I will try this but take a picture of each page in my binder. I did take two weeks to type in all my Word/phrase stamps in MSWord table and I can sort them by location or alphabetically.
I am sorry, I didn’t define that very well. Searching for a copy of my stamps to use the ‘snippet’ you recommended. LOL

I use it to inventory and search for my sentiment stamps. I have each sentiment written in a note by where the stamp is located. For example Binder One would be the note title and the contents of that note would be all the sentiment stamps in that binder; each on its own line. Also on that line would be a category like birthday, encouragement etc. I love how EN can find the stamp about Frogs in your underpants.
After reading your post I started using it to catalog tangle patterns. I will shortly start using it to for my stamps, stencils and other art supplies. I might even try cataloging all my beading supplies no matter how daunting. Thank you for the wonderful encouragement and easy to follow instructions. I would probably not bothered learning a new program even though otherwise I am a geeky gadget girl. LOL

I know it is a whole year later but i LOVE evernote, been using it for years. I do my stamps exactly like you describeb. I also continued on to punches, embossing folders, etc. thank you for sharing on your blog, its people like you that make the world a nicer place to be!

Love your organizational skills. See that you use Evernote for your stamp inventory now. Have you found a way to add a “location” tag for your stamps? (Not talking about location under the info tab.) I want to be able to search tags to find a particular stamp and to have a location # to be able to find the stamp – I use Stampin Up cases and often add more than one set to a case. I’ve added non-Stampin Up stamps into the cases as well. Looking for ideas – thanks!
Hi, I use the numbers as well as the notes to locate my stamps. In the notes section I type in where it is located. If it’s on the B side of a stampin up case I will put the #B as the number. I hope that helps 🙂
Very helpful – I’ve put all my Stamps into SU containers and it has been so helpful. I sometimes have several stamp sets in one case so your suggestion will be helpful. They fit so well on my Ikea Billy shelves without wasted space. Thanks again!
I too use evernote for inventory. You can add tags to each note that are searchable. HTH.

I use the free version. The way to keep it free is to enter a little in each month or at least stop when you hit the limit. The only time it asked me to upgrade was when I first entered everything, it’s because you use the most space then. On a monthly basis you use very little space because you are only adding new stamps, not your entire inventory. I hope that makes sense.
