Today is a sad day for us, my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease this morning, a diagnosis she feared because her mother (my grandmom) suffered from it before she passed away a few years ago. I think we are still in shock, personally I’m trying not to think about it too much because it scares the hell out of me. My mom is my best friend in the world and I don’t want her to be sick or suffer and I can’t even fathom the thought of losing her…anyway, your prayers are greatly appreciated right now.
Here is the layout I made of me and Tyler back in the day when he was about 3 years old.
I used studio calico papers, thickers and some washi tape along with the felt fall leaves from KatScrappiness.com. I also sprayed the background paper with Lindy’s Stamp Gang spray. It’s not my favorite layout but it’ll do.
This card I made for nobody in particular, just to have in my card box for a time when I need a card to send to a friend. I used Jillibean Soup paper and embellishments to make this card. I also used some prima flowers, baker’s twine and brads. (Can you believe I am actually using my stash of brads finally!?!)
And here is a picture of the inside of the card.
That’s it for today. I will have a short video showing these projects in more detail on my youtube channel within the next couple of days so take a look if you want. I hope everyone is doing well and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi Kat. So sorry to hear about your mom sweetie. I know that’s a really difficult thing to deal with. We want our parents to be around forever. I know I did and I was devastated when my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. She passed in 2008. Just know you always have a friend in me. You know where to find me. ~ Hugs & Love ~ Pat 🙂 (PatsTreasuresNCrafts on YT)

I am so sorry to hear about your mom, but with all of the great meds and doctors out there now, there will be better hope and treatment for you and her to share time better spent. Please keep us posted on your progress and prognoses and hugs to your mom and you. We love you lots.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Almost the same day my husband was diagnosed. Hope that you, like us, have had plenty of time to read and research, and have found that Parkinson’s patents have more hope and help than ever. Thinking of you and praying for you.
