Happy Thursday everyone! I have a shaker card to share with you today. This card was very easy to make and was a lot of fun. I started out with some Bristol Smooth Paper and my distress inks and started blending with my mini smoothies. I can’t recommend these mini smoothies enough! They make ink blending so much easier than using the standard ink blending tools. Once I finished the blending, I sprayed the background with water using my distress sprayer and then let it sit for a few seconds before blotting it up with a paper towel.
To make my shaker window, I used the Rectangle Peekaboo Window/Frame die from My Favorite Things. Then I cut a piece of acetate and glued it to the back of my card panel. For the skyline, I used a die by Impress Rubber Stamps called Seattle Skyline. I glued the die cut to the back of my acetate window using my tape runner.
Next, I die cut a piece of white fun foam with the same die from MFT and placed it behind the panel to give my sequins room to “shake”. I added little star sequins and glued it to my card front.
For the die cut word, “Seattle” on the bottom, I used this Seattle Heart Die and just cut the word “Seattle” out of the heart and glued it onto my page using spray adhesive.
Thanks for visiting!
