Remember when I posted that I was turning my stamp inventory binders into a digital format so I could just search online rather than pulling out my notebooks and having to look through them every time I want to find a stamp? Well I’m done! I didn’t think I’d EVER finish but I did. (Well I still have to add my alpha stamps and backgrounds but the rest are done!)
In case you are thinking of doing this, let me tell you it is well worth the work! If you want to look through mine to see what it’s like, here is a link to my Online Stamp Inventory Notebook on Evernote.
Now anytime I want a stamp for let’s say a Happy Anniversary card, all I have to do is type in anniversary and up pops every stamp that I own that is related to Anniversaries! I LOVE IT!
Let me know what you think and if you decide to make one, I’d love to see it!

Kat, I love this idea! I don’t have that many stamps, but I might adapt it and just use Evernote to keep track of my digital paper files. I have millions of designs and currently just have them all filed by collection (I like to know who designed them and also if I have a project that requires multiple papers it’s easy to complete if they’re all together from the start.) I could use Evernote to give them tags that would mean I could find all the woodgrain papers at one time! Thanks so much for the idea!

Great idea! I even searched your Evernote file and found that all your text stamps are OCR’d and searchable by word. Very cool!

This is incredible, Kat! I’ve been using Evernote for about a year now, but mostly for recipes, my hair color formula, quotes that I want to remember, and tips and bits for future reference. Never in a million years would I have thought to include my stamps or other crafting supplies! What a smart idea! I’ve just spent the last 20 minutes looking over yours, and was completely blown away! Once I finish moving my craft room to my daughter’s old bedroom, I’m going to give your system a try. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have been using Evernote forever, and was using Bento to organize my craft supplies..but I have to do it all on phone..this I can do on my computer (which is much faster) then just link to my phone!!! Plus I don’t have to be taking photos constantly which becomes a headache!!
thanks bunches

I’m working on this right now! Thanks for sharing. I am also linking in my Evernote where the stamps are stored at, like SU1 for my Stampin up container 1, etc. Then I will write on each stamp SU1 that goes in that container too so after I use it I can put it back. Thanks!!

i noticed some of your stamps sets have a number. Is this a number you assigned to the set or did evernote do it for you?
Kat says
I assign a number to each set so that I know where to find it when I need it 🙂 I stared at 1 and am up to 286 right now 🙂

Hey, Kat, I just wanted to share a tip that I am using since seeing this fabulous tutorial. I created a tag “matching dies” that I add to the stamp sets that have dies. This way when I am definitely not in the mood to fussy cut or am short on time, I can search for just the stamp sets that have matching dies. This is especially helpful to me because I haven’t yet created a notebook for my dies. Thanks again for taking the time to do this, you’re the best!

I have a teal sticker that I put on each stamp pocket and when I see that sticker, I know it has matching dies 🙂
