For me I want a smooth, heavy weight cardstock to use as a card base. I don’ t care for “flimsy” cards, yes I’m a paper snob (lol). My all time favorite card stock is Gina K Designs Cardstock. It comes in a variety of colors (that matches her inks) and I just love them all. However, there are a few other brands I still use as well so I’ll share them all with you.
Gina K Designs Pure Luxury 120lb Heavy Base Weight Cardstock – This is my favorite heavyweight cardstock for card bases as well as copic coloring (because you can color as much as you want on the paper and it will NOT bleed through to the other side!) it’s also very good for blending copic markers because of the way it’s made. It’s great for colored pencils as well because of how smooth it is. It’s an all around great cardstock! It comes in white and ivory.
For laying and die cutting, etc., I use Gina K Designs 80lb Layering Weight Cardstock. It’s great for anything that isn’t a card base. It comes in white and ivory.
My favorite kraft cardstock is Gina K Designs Heavy Base Weight Kraft 100lb Cardstock – It’s a beautiful kraft color (to me) and it’s my absolute favorite. (Neenah Desert Storm is a very lose 2nd!)
My favorite black cardstock is Gina K Pure Luxury Onyx Black 100lb Card Stock – This is a nice true black cardstock, without the gray or blue tints you sometimes see in black cardstocks.
Colored Cardstocks
My all time favorite is Gina K Designs Heavyweight 100 lb cardstock. (Surprise! Surprise! LOL) It comes in a HUGE variety of colors that all match her ink pads and is thick and smooth enough for card bases. You just can’t beat this cardstock!
Copic Express Blending Cardstock – I use this cardstock anytime I color with copics and it’s not a single layer card. Copics blend well on this paper and it’s easy to cut in my ScanNCut2!
