*UPDATED 3/29/2014
As you may have seen in a previous blog post, I used to have a tripod sitting on my desk and arm like this hanging over my desk with my camera attached to the end. Now this worked magnificently, however, everyone who walked by the other side of my desk was always bumping their head into the Arm which was quite sturdy/heavy and well, it hurt. (Don’t ask how I know that for myself LOL).
Anyway! I came across Ruth’s video/website in which she showed how she had her video camera setup for filming YouTube videos and I loved it! I thought I’d try it in my scrap room so I bought all of the equipment, however, because of the size of my desk, the setup didn’t work so I’m selling everything here. If you’d like to see the original video showing this video equipment set up to film YouTube videos, click here or watch the video below:
This is what it looks like set up on my desk:
Here’s how I set this up and what is for sale:
First I bought a CowboyStudio Super Clamp with Standard Stud – this holds the arm to the table. SUPER STURDY! I’m selling mine for $9.99.
Next I needed an arm that would move into different angles and fit into my clamp and this is the one I bought. The Manfrotto 196B-3 3-Section Single Articulated Arm with Bracket. This arm is pretty cool because each one of the sections is movable and can be placed as short or long as you’d like and at any angle you’d like. I found a video where someone showed it in detail so if you are interested in seeing how this arm works, see the video below and skip ahead to 5:19. I’m selling this for $49.95.
The arm connects to the Super Clamp and like I said, is adjustable
(Update – 3/10 – This piece is sold but you can purchase it by clicking on the link below.) Next, I needed a way to attach my video camera to the end of the Arm so I bought a Joby BH1 Ball Head with Bubble Level. It attaches directly to the Arm and has full 360-degree panning, and 90-degree tilt so you can film at virtually any angle imaginable! I’m selling this for $20.00.
Here is some other miscellaneous photo equipment I have available for sale.:
Adorama Heavy Duty L-bracket with 2 Standard Flash Shoe Mounts I’m selling this one for $5.00.
Neewer CN-126 LED Video Light for Camera or Digital Video Camcorder – I’m selling mine for $24.00.
Battery Home Travel Charger w/ Car Adapter for Sony Digital Camera & Camcorder (This is for the LED light) I’m selling mine for $6.00
Sony Replacement NP-F550 Digital Camera Battery – I’m selling mine for $5.00. (This battery is for the LED light)
